About Me

Hi! I am Ashley Brickey, photographer and creator of Ashley Brickey Studios.

About: I specialize in children and family portraiture. I currently live in Okinawa, Japan. I have lived and photographed families in Wasilla, AK and surrounding areas, Arlington, TX and surrounding areas, and San Antonio, TX. My images have a journalistic feeling that allows for personalities to be captured.

My Bio: I am a mother of two joyful, loving children and the wife of a wonderful husband. When I lived in Texas, I taught art to 7^th and 8^th grade students for 3 years and Kindergarten – 5^th grade students for 3 years. I decided to be a stay-at-home mom when we moved to Alaska in 2013. To keep my artistic mind flowing, I decided to continue with a passion I have had for photography since I was a junior in high school. Before graduating from the University of North Texas with my teaching degree, I worked as a photographer’s assistant, photographer, and album designer at two different portrait studios for a total of 4 years. I have experience in photographing newborns, children, families, engagements, high school seniors, and weddings. My goal is to capture a special moment in time that families can cherish forever.
